Prasadam Aplenty

Our Vaikasi Visakam puja a few evenings back was magical to behold, as you recall from the TAKA post of that day. After puja and meditation, the monks and devotees in attendance separately partook of the blessed prasadam from Lord Muruga's Feet. One of us was inspired to show the bounty we enjoyed.

Fortunately, Lord Muruga was hungry so we were able to enjoy this divine smorgasbord.

Scrumptuous baked vadai...

Sundal, curd rice, sweet pongal...who could ask for anything more?

Image

Oh! Ok, well we also have uppuma, coriander chutney, raita, sambar, tomato chutney...

Oh! And more uppuma and sweet pongal!

The monks also made dinner ahead of time, not knowing the volume of prasadam that would ensue. Here we see some freshly made pita bread from the wood fire oven.

More offerings of the sundal variety.

And some freshly baked falafel, also part of the monks\

And, for good measure, some homemade artisanal bread. Needless to say, the monks ate well...for a couple of days!
