200th Chitra Pada Puja
June 14, 2016Today marked the 200th Chitra Pada Puja after Gurudeva's Mahasamadhi on November 12, 2001. And for the 200th time, we all gathered in Kadavul Temple to honor our great Natha Rishi in the form of a heartfelt pada puja to him.

\"Simply love God Siva and let that love radiate out into the world.\" -- Gurudeva

Satguru, monks, local sishya, and off-island pilgrims assemble for this once in every 27 days event.

Our pujaris today are Natyams Nandinatha and Rajanatha.

s used daily for the 3AM Ganesha abhishekam. '

With the onset of summer, flowers are in abunance.

Satguru chants Sri Rudram at every Gurudeva pada puja and Siva homa at which he is present. Other monks join him.

Those not chanting are engaged in dhyanam.

Our local Kaua`i members and students are joined by pilgrims from places such as Washington state, Southern California, and Massachusetts.

s lightbox shrine shows him standing before the famous Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple in the \'80s.'

After the completion of pushparchana, worship with flowers, a colorful and fragrant mountain is manifested.

Satguru and all present then chant the Vedic hymn, \"Mantra Pushpa\" in its entirety. It is a truly beautiful chant which, despite its name, focuses on worship through water.

Satguru then offers his flowers subsequent to the mantra\
s completion...'

...and all others follow suit.

Final arati begins. The Guru Mantra is on the lips of all those present.

Satguru chants as conches blow, bells ring, and minds focus on the golden body of our Gurudeva.

Aum Sri Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswamine Namah!
