Bridges: A Symbol of Unification
June 30, 2016We present to you images of some rather impressive bridges from around the world. Gurudeva often spoke of "bridging East and West" in terms of his decades of minstry around the world - bringing the best of Asian culture to souls incarnated in Western bodies.

\"Now this Atman is the bridge and the boundary separating these worlds. Day and night do not cross over this bridge, or old age, or death, or sorrow, or good works or bad works; all evils turn back from it, for this world of Brahman is free from evil.\" - Sama Veda

\"Thus, after crossing that bridge, the blind man sees, the wounded one is healed, the sufferer is freed from suffering.\" - Sama Veda

\"Therefore, for the one who has crossed that bridge, even the night is transformed into day, for the world of Brahman is ever illumined.\" - Sama Veda

\"But the world of Brahman belongs only to those who find it by the practice of chastity and the study of Brahman. For them there is freedom in all the worlds.\" - Sama Veda

\"I go for refuge to God who is One in the silence of eternity, pure radiance of beauty and perfection, in whom we find our peace. He is the bridge supreme which leads to immortality, and the spirit of fire which burns the dross of lower life.\" Krishna Yajur Veda

\"...many years ago, when I was first beginning the mighty mission my satguru gave to me, build a bridge between the East and West, to erect temples, to feed thousands and roar like a lion around the world.\" - Gurudeva
