More Iraivan Temple Stones Arrive!
July 30, 2016Jai Ganesha!
The Aadheenam has just received a large shipment of granite stones from Bengaluru for the continuation of Iraivan Temple construction. This shipment included many stone for the perimeter wall as well as a few others. Two of the large red granite pots, which will sit atop the wall, also arrived. Aum Namah Sivaya.
Whatever could they be?
While the monks eat lunch today, Yoginathaswami gives a report on the progress of the shipment
He presents the two polished red granite pots. They will stay on display here for now.
More than 40 more of these pots will eventually make their way to Kauai
because the siplis can use power tools on these, they are much faster to complete
With little room left next to Iraivan Temple many of the new stones are placed next to our workshops
Natyam Dayanatha does a lot to help with the shipment
Our team heads down to the docks to get one of the larger stones
We\
re told the company had just sold their only forklift which was made to lift that much weight'
Thankfully this smaller lift can just barely transport it
The rear wheels are in the air though
This crane will then lift it onto the truck
This stone has been left raw and will be part of the sipli memorial next to the temple
It will give people an idea of what the freshly quarried stones are like
Once it\
s secure, it\'s off to the aadheenam'
Paramacharya explains where to set it down
The stone was successfully placed. Jai!
