Cleaning the Gods
September 21, 2016The other day was Ashram Sadhana Day in the monastery. Conceived by Gurudeva decades ago, it's a monthly day during which the mathavasi spend their energies cleaning various parts of our home.
One of our resident guest task forcers, Dean Drulius, took some pictures of his cleaning efforts. Enjoy.

In Annapoorna Garden, Lord Panchamukha Ganapati oversees all.

In Lemurian Scrolls, the devas conveyed to Gurudeva that, \"Lord Ganesha used fruits and vegetables that grew above the ground to transmit His darshan, providing wisdom and perfect timing, removing obstacles on the path.\"

Sounds good to us. Annapoorna Garden is used to grow many things such as kale, taro, chilies, gourds, eggplant, malabar spinach, kang kong, papaya, and many, many, many other vegetables along with flowers such as roses and marigolds.

Dean snaps a selfie with Ganesha.

Dean then made his way over to Rudraksha Forest where he cleaned Our One Tusked Lord yet again.

s grove of now 30+ year old rudraksha trees.'

Our Dancing King was also tended to, given a good washing and some tender, loving care. He dances in a small mandapam on an island in a pond near Iraivan Temple.

Rarely to never seen by the public is this somewhat large, copper relief of Lord Nataraja. He adorns the exterior of the building right next to Satguru\
s office.'
