Canada Adventure Day 2: Seaside Promenade, Boats and Homa
October 1, 2016For day 2 of our Canada adventure the group went on a long seaside walk and into a beautiful park with grand trees and wildlife.

Our breezy morning walk group. From left: Peter, Holly, Swami, Bobby, Kathy, Amala and Deva. The photo is missing friends Thurai, Brett and the entire Pillay family.

Good friends make life that much warmer. Holly and Kathy have to have good communication in their work. One makes the mold, the other makes the replica. These two have an inner connection and their work shows it.

Nagarajan Pillay and Rajanatha capture a moment in time

Bobby Page ended up capturing the tallest totem pole in Canada, perhaps the world?

Bobby leaning on a stunning tree found on our way back to the parking lot. Several peacocks were sitting on branches right above Bobby.

The group strolls along and talks mystic truths. A random photo somehow catches the moment that Swami walks along a \"Love Yourself\" statement.

The whole group minus Brett. A selfless move it is to take the group photo and remove oneself from historical records.

The group sets off for a sea trip around the Victoria bay

The bow of the ship. Let the adventure begin!

Another moment in time captured with Rajanatha and Bobby Page

Finally a shot of Brett talking with Bobby, Thurai is directly on his right talking with Nagarajan. Archana Pillay in the bottom left of the photo.

The boat was really enjoyable. These are great moments for people to talk deeply and get to know where people are coming from. I don\
t mean that you learn where people are from, you learn what they are all about and what the Hindu path means to them. '

As Pieter talks with Paramacharya, I get a chance to get some planning done! Most of the time our next stop or even next day requires some last minute fine-tuning.

They would not let me drive the boat for some unknown reason so I found a fake steering wheel and pretended

Dad and daughter. The little one is Dishanna Pillay, a future world renowned artist and cellist.

A surprise painting has been offered to Swami after our busy day. Archana Pillay, a poet, wrote a piece for Paramacharya and the Pillays had Pieter Veltevrede put it on a canvas. Swami was speechless.

A beautiful homa was performed by a Vancouver-based Sivacharya, flown in by the Pillays. Gurukkal is extremely genuine and his chants come from the depths of his heart. We lacked temple visits during the trip so this homa was a real joy for the monks.

A wonderful performance from Dishanna came after the homa
