Last stop: San Francisco!
October 12, 2016Our very last stop on the twenty-six day adventure is the fine city of San Francisco. Before we get into the trip, we begin with our exciting landing into the city.

Our pilot mentioned that we occasionally land next to other planes at SFO airport due to the traffic at this particular place. We indeed had a near-simultaneous landing and it was a new experience for us.

The plane is pretty far away at first. But every minute it gets closer to our plane and you think in back of your mind...\"I wonder if they have done this before?!\"

The plane gets as close as it\
s going to and goes in front of us by a few plane lengths'

We almost land together!

Our first meeting is with the dynamic young Seiyonne Suriyakumar.

We spoke for almost one hour about life, family and religion

Seiyonne\
s father Suriyakumar come to pick the monks up and spend some time with him'

The traditional greeting for a swami is performed

Many wonderful things were spoken about in this grand home, along with a wonderful lunch made by amma Rushika and family.

We now enter into the next and final day in San Francisco. Here we are at an outing at the Exploratorium located on the piers of the Embarcadero.

The adults had a chance to relax and get into the fun mind of interacting with over 200 scientific explorations!

Deva Rajan learns some things about the location of mass on an object and its speed vs another object

This is the shop where all the wonder is made at the Exploratorium

Which Rajanatha is real? Are they both unreal? What is real?!

San Francisco has so many wild streets! It also has many chances to drive under buildings and in mountains. So much fun here.

Here we go about to drive under the building

Driving down the steep streets of S.F. is mighty strange but fun

One of Paramacharya\
s focus was to show Natyam where the monks had their earliest temples. Here we are on Sacremento St. where there used to be the Palaniswami temple. Now it is a shoe store, but the back deck where Gurudeva used to meditate is still in original form. '

Here it is, one of the most photographed bridges in the world: The Golden Gate Bridge. FYI the bridge is neither gold nor has any gates...I will let San Francisco get away with that one.

We had a grand satsang with the Golden Gate Mission and friends. Paramacharya gave some super secret insights into monk projects and talked about obeying the guru. Swami even surprised Rajanatha and asked him to say a few words.
