Mushrooms in the avocado orchard

This morning we discovered a patch of mushrooms, type unknown, happily growing in the midst of our new avocado orchard.

The patch is dense and lush, despite this area having been mowed with the past several days. But December is the month mushrooms like to grow in Hawaii.

The University of Hawaii publishes several articles on mushroom hunting in the state, pointing out that there\

s a difference between \"edible\" and \"poisonous\" and that while only a few mushrooms are poisonous, most of the rest just don\'t taste very good.
