Share Kauai Aadheenam with Our Revitalized Booklet

Recently the monks in the Ganapati Kulam finished updating the give-away booklet "All About kauai's Hindu Monastery." As with all books physical there must be a digital version out there that needs updating. This digital merry-go-round can be found here and easily be stored on your browser as the go-to source for answering questions about us, Hinduism, our temples, pilgrimage FAQ, Hindu history and all of our apps-in one place.

Let's explore a little bit of what we have to get you started.

Image

Under the Monastery tab of our drop-down mega-menu is the first link \"About the Monastery.\" This will take you to the overview page and the beginning of our trip.

Image

The Overview page has a current panoramic shot of Iraivan Temple landscaping, our acreage count, a short daily schedule and, well, a general overview of all things us! The sidebar on the right-hand side contains the table of contents for the booklet and the bottom of each page has a simple next page option.

Image

A few pages in and our Kadavul Temple page arrives in full glory. The temple deities, the crystal Sivalingam, worship times, and a link to more in-depth history shows itself near the bottom.

Image

Iraivan is of course next with updated photos of the inside and outside, along with what to expect with the current and future plans of this granite citadel

Image

A few more pages in and we get more knowledge pertaining to the monastic staff and head, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami. Satguru\

s teaching links are made available along with a link to learn more about the monks, those mysterious Nathas. '

Image

Our Pilgrimage page contains testimony, Master Course info with links and what to expect if visiting this holy land; all in a compendious fashion

Image

A new page added to the book and digital tour is our rudraksha forest story. \"The only Rudraksha grove in the Western world is here at the monastery. In 1984 Gurudeva planted 108 trees with his own hands.\" Click the image above to read more, or here

What about Hinduism and Hindu questions? No longer must you feel beleaguered as friends ask you the tough questions about our vast religion, there is a page for that and it\

s called A Birds-Eye view of Hinduism.'

Image

Our philosophical Conclusions page follows the Birds-Eye View page and goes deeper into Saiva Siddhanta, our specific theology teaching that God is both within us and outside of us the Creator and the creation immanent and transcendent.

Image

Our capacious booklet moves on and into visitor information-possibly the most valuable resource for first-timers and soon-to-visit folks

Image

Another new page, and one that is noteworthy for teaching youth the world over, is our Free Mobile App world containing our current apps and where to download them. Our future apps are also listed at the bottom.

Image

The Hindu History project and the produced publications is in full residence in this newly packed booklet

Image

The AAKHM booklet does not lead to boring conclusions as the story unfolds but leads the user to ever-useful information to be a timeless resource. Our titanic body of work is invariably going to be spread out and difficult to navigate for the aadheenam beginner. Behold this resource page and stand in awe as we attempt to bring all of our work together, linked in a compacted catalog.

There\

s more? Yup. In the end we find ourselves with a map in hand, something Gurudeva gave us all with the Shum language. Drive alongside the escarpment, up and up to the Hindu monks, using this map as you go. '
