Nandi Mandapam Unveiled!

We have been keeping this secret for a week, while we waited until Satguru returned from his travels and got a chance to see it first. The scaffolding around the Nandi Mandapam was removed on Wednesday, March 27th, a Sun One. And Wow! What an exquisite, intricate structure of carved white granite, now available for everyone to see!

On the early morning of the March 27th, the Nandi Mandapam looked like this. Since it was built inside the scaffolding, we really didn\

t have a vision of what was to come.'

Then, by 5:00 pm the same day, we get to see it as it was designed.

A team of six monks worked hard all day. Yoginathaswami took the lead, Nirvani Tejadevanatha, Yogi Adinandi and Saravananathaswami were \"in the air\" above.

Working with two teams of two each, they dismantled pieces which where retrieved by Brahmanathaswami and Adi Srikantha on the ground.

It had to be dismantled piece-by-piece just they way it was put up. Without damaging any of the delicate stonework.

The roof has been covered while we await the arrival of a special 3-micron cement to fill the joints. This will prevent water dripping through from above.

The silpis have done a magnificent job! Both in India and here.

It is a moment to be remembered for a lifetime.
