Heavy Rains and Flooding on Kauai

On a normal day, almost everyday, the Nani Kaua Falls and Pond look so serene, the water clear and the pool reflecting an amazing emerald green color.

But not this week! Once ever couple of years, a flood rages through, turning the water to cocoa brown and the gentle falls to a raging torrent. Logs and even giant trees come down. It rained for four days and nights. It reminded the monks how close we live to Siva's raw and natural world. Right outside our windows. It was so exciting we made a one-minute video to share, which includes "Moby Tree," a giant beast that is now beached on the shore. Below we present the normal and HD versions.
