Into the Gardens
September 1, 2019After spending some weeks on a Kauai pilgrimage, the Pillay family enjoyed an afternoon tour of Siva's Gardens, guided by Sadasivanathaswami. They had never put their feet into the waters of the Wailua River, so that was a treat. Follow them as they discover new areas previously unknown.
Divyesh and Dishanna with Paramacharya.
Dishanna found the water quite cool. Paramacharya is showing the family how high the river waters can get during a storm.
Together all planted a choice banana tree in honor of Shamini\
s appa. He loved plants.'

Sensing the theme?
The Shakonam desert garden, with Iraivan in the background.
None had ever seen the almost alien False Fruit Tree, a native of the tropics and rare in all the world.
Nagarajan loved to capture little parts of the garden with the temple in the background. It became a theme of the outing.
The giant orchid in full bloom was a treat.
All were of the same impression, that Lord Hanuman is bigger in real life than in photos.
