Sri Lanka Innersearch: Safari
February 25, 2018Aum Sivaya from Sri Lanka!
Today was our last day of classes, which were held in the morning. An early morning meditation class by Saravananathaswami, then after breakfast was Bodhinatha's class, then a jeep arrived filled with coconuts to give everyone a refreshing and cooling drink, followed by Sadasivanathaswami's class.
The whole afternoon was set aside for the Safari!

We boarded the safari jeeps from the hotel and headed straight to the animal conservation land. The jeeps drove through trails with everyone looking around hoping to see some animals. Saravananathaswami, Tejadevanatha, Jayanatha and I shared a jeep. The pano is a bit rough because we took it when driving down the road.

First we saw either an alligator or crocodile, it had its mouth open on a rock and it was completely still. They said it was waiting for a bird to land and then it would munch down and have a snack. We proceeded down the jungle trail.

...Until we finally came to wide open space with elephants! There were over one hundred beautiful and majestic giants.

The small little animals to the left of the elephants below are full sized cows!

Some elephants were curious and came up close to us, they had such an elegant gait.

The innersearches really enjoyed watching the elephants. Below they are taking the \"we\
re holding the elephants in our hands\" selfie.'

Today was our last full day in Habarana and tomorrow we\
re off to Jaffna for 5 days. Stay tuned. '
