A New Swami Joins the Saiva Swami Sangam

A new sannyasin, Siddhanathaswami, joined our order before dawn today after being initiated by Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami.

We welcome this new swami who, after letting go of everything, let go of himself. "You must die before you die," Paramguru Yogaswami declared, and burning his desires, his possessions and his old self in a funeral fire, this shining soul decided to dedicate his life to knowing the Divine, honoring all creation and seeing God everywhere, in everyone.

Swami Vivekananda eloquently said:
There is but One – The Free, The Knower – Self!
Without a name, without a form or stain.
In him is Maya, dreaming all this dream.
The Witness, He appears as nature, soul.
Know thou art That, Sannyasin bold! Say –
"Om tat sat, Om!"
