Glories of the Greenhouse
April 2, 2020Jai Ganesha!
Today we take time to appreciate the monasteries greenhouse, from which so much of our fresh produce is sourced. As some may know, tomato plants can only go do long before they must be replanted in order to continue their usual production. This month we are just beginning to see the fruits from our newest tomato plants. Also our lettuce and other greens are being produced continuously.

Protected by our greenhouse, lettuce like this can grow much softer while looking flawless and bright at the same time

A nice big heirloom tomato!

Thanks to Ganesha for all His help!

Scrumptious, delicious tomatoes for all the monks to enjoy

We even have some cherry tomatoes beginning to fruit

These chard plants and other greens are used for our lunch everyday

The plant are constantly being planted, grown and harvested in a cycle

We also have things such as cilantro, parsley and basil growing as well

These leeks were a bit of an experiment, which worked out well!

Yajatadeva cleans channels after harvest

All the different stages of growth

And we have cucumbers growing again too
