All the Monks Are Fine

All the monastics are doing well. Thanks to Gurudeva's long term vision, we have the great good fortune of having nearly 72 acres of land upon which we stretch our wings daily. Lockdown for us means no guests, so it's a quiet time.

Sannyasin Shanmuganathaswami is the Talaivar of the Pillaiyar Kulam. One of our senior monks trained by Gurudeva to manage a vast number of projects, including today, Bodhinatha\

s international travel.'

Here is Sannyasin Siddhinathaswami. He has trained under Bodhinatha for nearly 20 years to handle the accounting for Saiva Siddhanta Church, Himalayan Academy and the Hindu Heritage Endowment.

Sannyasin Muruganathaswami is also in the Pillaiyar Kulam. He records all the deposits and thanks one and all for the donations which keeps the mission running.

Sannyasin Kaivalyanathaswami is our oldest monastic by age, but has the spirit of a young man. He is advertising manager of Hinduisim Today, and in that capacity he has kept the magazine afloat for nearly 40 years. He also coordinates our French translations.

In the kitchen, Chinnu prepares amazing rasam or vegy soup. It is his way of keeping the monks healthy. Yogi Jayanatha comes for his daily dose. Today it is soup made with murungai leaves, carrots, chopped green beans and mild spices.

Out at the machine shop, Nirvani Tejadevanatha is almost finished refurbashing the metal deck of one of our Turf Tiger riding mowers. An expert welder, he cut out and welded on a complete new metal plate

Using a chain hoist with multiple pulleys, he is able to easily lift and turn over the 250 pound deck.

Here is a Turf Tiger with no deck. It is an amazing machine and can turn 360 degrees on a \"dime\"

Yogi Dayanatha is expert mechanic keeps our fleet running, tractors, skid steer and all the Electric Rangers. He also does the 3 am vigil and keeps Lord Ganesha looking soooo beautiful!

A walk out to the future visitor center we see the Pentas of blooming like crazy. We had a loooooong winter wet spell with rains nearly every day since October

And is this is a weed...beginning in March the weather cleared.

But even our weeds look good in full bloom!

Hanuman looks magnificent in the warm sun. Hard work is being down on the planning for the visitor center.
