Iraivan's Entry Steps Take Shape!
May 17, 2020At Iraivan Temple the siplis have nearly completed the installation of the first four stone steps that comprise the temple's main entrance. These slabs are fit over the existing stair-shaped foundation. They are then carved along the joints to make them relatively seamless.
As you can see, the steps are nearly halfway to completion
On our way out to Iraivan Temple a little bird says hello
He has a good view from here
We find the silpis working on the upper steps
These steps had a little more finish work do be done than the lower steps did
So they will take a little longer than the steps that are in so far
But they are progressing quickly
These steps will be here to welcome you next time you visit Iraivan Temple
Here you can see the foundation for the upper steps
Soon they\
ll look like this as well'
