Today our camera-monk takes us out to Iraivan Temple for this week's update of the progress going on there. right now the next layers of the temple steps are being placed and the lavarock plinth is getting higher and higher. Also, join us for a quick detour into our Sacred Gardens.

Lord Dakshinamurti watches the Temple progress from beneath his banyan

He has a bright, golden orchid blooming around him

From here you can see the lavarock has now been brought out and made ready for the north side of the temple

And for the west side as well

While we\
re at the northwest corner of the temple, a quick stop at the Shadkonam Garden is in order'

Many wondrous little plants here to behold

Looks like we stepped into the inner worlds for a moment

A one-foot-tall cone from a cycad

A unique type of hoya vine from the looks of it

Who knew a small patch of soil could hold such wonders. Look for beauty and you will find it.

Some tropical rains sends us under the nearby gazebo. A good view at least.

Ok, back to business. Time to take a gander at this stone wall.

Another layer has been added along the whole east side

And some parts are even higher

looking nice!

Now for the temple entry steps

We\
re almost at the top!'

The siplis are mixing a liquid mortar which flows down in between the placed stones

These last few steps still have a good deal of carving to go before they are added. But they are progressing quickly.

Another cool plant! If a peach tree had giant thorns it would probably look like this thing.

Small fireworks of color
