A Green and Growing Garden

Jai Ganesha!

Today we take a look at the progress in the vegetable garden. The high tunnels our coming along well, with the three primary ones in place. The monks of the Siddhidatta Kulam have been pouring footings for the structures. Also, many wonderful vegetables are producing well in our current warm and wet weather. We have an abundance of gourds, eggplant, okra and more. Aum.

At the garden entrance we have a big, happy pumpkin patch

With many little pumpkins growing

A snake gourd. Can you guess why they call it that?

We have quite a few varieties of gourds growing, including calabash gourds and luffa gourds

And eggplant. Again, it\

s no wonder it got that name.'

We also have roses growing in the garden

and more little papaya seedlings

These roses make great offerings
