March 2022 Chitra Puja

Today our monks began their lunar phase with this month's pada puja for Gurudeva which takes place during the Chitra nakshatra. Today is also the day that Aspirant Akash Katir arrives at the monastery from California. He will next be perusing his supplicant vows, which mark the next step towards his goal of taking formal monastic vows.

This morning's pada puja was performed by Sannyasin Tillainathaswami and Yogi Haranandinatha.

Having arrived back at Kauai Aadheenam just hours ago, Akash visits Gurudeva\

s shrine in Kadavul Temple'

The morning pada puja begins as the monks chant Sri Rudram

With the timing being so near to the clarifying energies of full moon, Gurudeva\

s presence was easily felt today '

Satguru joins in the chanting of Sri Rudram

Ghee, milk, yogurt, citrus, honey and more are poured over Gurudeva\

s sandals as offerings of prana'
