Siva Dancing In The Rain
March 22, 2018Today our silpis began their work on the Iraivan Temple's Nandi Mandapam. The atmosphere at the worksite is buzzing with energy and divine grace as the site of Iraivan Temple awakens once more.

The beauty of the newly washed stones is astonishing.

Our workers are well suited for our Kauai weather.

Here the stones are being marked for the next layer of detail to be chiseled out.

Jai Ganesha!

Rain or shine, the seva continues on.

This wood is being used to construct benches for the silpis to comfortably sit on while they work on the stone.

Our Nandi is unlike any other. His features are exquisitely carved and a single, free-moving kundala adorns his right ear. Jai Nandinatha Sampradaya!

As the seemingly never ending rain pours down and the waterfalls crash resoundingly, we cannot help but feel that Siva is pouring his endless grace upon us.

A small sandalwood forest in the works.

Aum Tat Sat Aum.
