திங்களுங் கங்கையும் சென்னியிற் றாங்கிய
எங்கள் பெருமான் இணையடி வாழ்க
ஒருபொல் லாப்பு மில்லையென் றோதிய
குருபரன் குஞ்சித பாதம் வாழ்க
நாமறி யோமெனும் நல்ல திருமொழி
தாமறி வோனிச் சகத்தினில் வாழ்க
எப்ப வோமுடி வானதென் றெங்கட்குச்
செப்பிய வாசகம் சிறப்புடன் வாழ்க
ஆரறி வாரெனும் அருமைத் திருமொழி
தாரணி தன்னிற் சந்ததம் வாழ்க
முழுதுமுண் மையென முனிவன் சொன்மொழி
தொழுது வாழ்த்துஞ் சுதந்திரம் வாழ்க
இன்ன தன்மைய னிவனென ஏவரும்
என்று மறியா இணையடி வாழ்க
முந்திய பொருட்கெலா முதலா யுள்ளோன்
சிந்தையிற் பூத்த சிவபிரான் வாழ்கவே

thingalung kangaiyum senniyil taangiya
engal perumaan inaiyadi vaal.ha
oru pollaappum illaiyendrohthiya
kuruparan kunjitha paatham vaal.ha
naam ariyohmenum nalla thirumol.i
thaam arivohnis sagatthinil vaal.ha
eppavoh mudivaanathendr engadku
seppiya vaasagam sirappudan vaal.ha
aararivaarenum arumaith thirumol.i
thaarani thannir santhatham vaal.ha
mul.uthum unmaiyena munivan sonmol.i
thol.uthu vaal.tthum suthanthiram vaal.ha
inna thanmaiya nivanena eyvarum
endrum ariyaa inaiyadi vaal.ha

Translation

The Moon and Ganges Too

The Moon and - the Ganges too - on top of the head - bearing
our - Almighty - paired Feet - long live!
one - evil, even - not there, thus uttered
Supreme Guru - raised in a curve (1) - Feet - long live!
we - know not thus (said) - good - sacred word
we - will know - this - in the world - long live!
long ago - finished, thus - to us
said - the words - with glory - long live!
who will know, thus - precious - Holy word
the Earth - on - forever - long live!
all is - truth, thus - sage - spoken word
worship and - praising - independence - long live!
such - character - is He, thus - everyone
forever - know not - paired Feet - long live!
previous - all matter - as foremost - He who is
in the mind - flowered - Lord Siva - long live, indeed!
