October Chitra Puja
Last evening marked the beginning of this month's Chitra nakshatra (a lunar mansion along the ecliptic). This is the time when we celebrate Gurudeva with a padapuja to his granite paduka in Kadavul Temple. This morning Satguru, his monks and island members gathered together in Kadavul Temple to connect with Gurudeva's familiar darshan. Natyam Jayanatha and Natyam Mayuranatha performed the short abhishekam, pouring pranic substances over the tiruvadi, such as milk, honey and citrus. The temples filled with these sweet aromas and the scent of incense as Sri Rudram was chanted and Gurudeva's loving presence was felt by those attending. Aum Namah Sivaya.
