Announcing New Children's Books!

We are happy to announce the publication of two new books for young people and for the young at heart. Ten Tales About Self-Control brings us Ten stories base on the Yamas; and Ten Tales About Religious Life stories are based on the Niyamas. They are a manifestation of Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami’s continuing drive to bring core Hindu basics to the next generation in ways that can be absorbed by the 21st century Hindu generations.

A major innovation for Himalayan Academy Publications, these books are being released first as eBooks and include audio! The audio is only available in iPhone or iPad which has the advanced HTML5 Audio an video playing capabilities within iBooks. Later we will be offering the option to read and listen directly in your web browser.

Hindus on Pilgrimage – End of Phase

Bodhinatha signs Namrata Ragade’s copy of Merging with Siva. Namrata and her family visited from their home in Portland, Oregon in December. She has returned on pilgrimage for several days to do some sadhana and meditation.

Satguru Speaks Update: A new talk has been linked in the side bar on the right and Bodhinatha’s last two Sun One Upadeshas, including the recent one on Will Power and Concentration in the video you saw, are also up now for those who download the audio.

New Malaysia Children's Class Started

Kulapati Dhasan Sivananda and Kulamata Lalitha Sivananda started basic Hinduism classes for 30 children age from 5 to 13 in the temple near their home in Kuala Lumpur in the north part of the city where they live not far from Batu Caves.

The class will be held very Saturday from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Malaysia Satsang

Malaysia Mission held their monthly Satsang in Citra’s Hall, Brickfield Kuala Lumpur on 12th March 2011

The Thiruvadi puja was started by chanting of pranava mantra AUM followed by guru ashtottara. The puja was conducted by Kulapati Sivajnani Nagappan. We all felt satguru’s blessings and his strong shakti present during the ceremony.

The mission was inspired to have the attendance of forty-three Saiva Siddhanta Church members, and a few participants from the public.

All the members felt very happy to see such a big turn out.

Having vibhuthi prasadam. This elder from the community attended the satsang session. He shared his view on “Will Power” Gave a long an explanation and finally said he was very impressed to see our satsang prayers.

According to him, our satsang was very systematic, and the only one that he has attended where everyone is given a chance to share their views for the discussion.

Followed by Natchintanai bhajans

And finally a meditation session.

All the members shared their views based on the title.
