Loving Ganesha, Now in the Russian Language

We have mentioned briefly that the team in Moscow is continuing its remarkable work with Gurudeva's publishing legacy despite the extreme challenges being faced in that part of the world. They have, for instance, translated and typeset the entire new edition of "Loving Ganesha, Hinduism's Benevolent Elephant-Faced Deity" into Russian. We thought you would like to see some of the graphically-rich pages. Remember, this is a big book, over 400 pages in all. Our congratulations to those who are working for upliftment in difficult times.

    Aum Nama Sivaya!
    Ganesha Saranam
    Saranam Ganesha!
The story of Saint Auvaiyar’s love of Ganesha brings to mind the story of Lord Nadaraja going to perform a dance in Chithambaram and all the people and all living animals, etc.,had gathered to witness this great event. But Saint Auvaiyar had to do the puja for Lord Ganesha and she was worried that she might be late and miss the performance. Lord Ganesha said to her that she should finish the puja and that she will still be on time to witness the dance. At the end of the Puja Lord Ganesha lifted her with his trunk and placed her infront of Lord Nadaraja. A famous proverb in Tamil is: “Nambikai Ulloooruku Thumbikaiaan Thunai!
    Jai Jai Shree Maha Ganesh!
