We Are Safe!
As the map shows, our island of Kauai is about 200 miles away from Maui island, where the devastating fires happened on August 9th. It was the most destructive disaster in the history of Hawaii, with the loss of over 80 lives and total destruction of an entire town, Lahaina, with a population of 12,000. It is estimated that it will cost 5-6 billion dollars and decades to rebuild everything.
Many around the world have worried if the monastery is OK, and we want to assure everyone we are.

It is with much regret, we viewed the T.V. News that,
there was a destructive Weather Situation in the Island Maui
of Hawaii & about 100 people are dear too.! Aum Shanthi!
On the other hand, we the Island Kauai is safe & all humans are
leading a normal life, with the Grace & Blessings of the Almighty,
Sri Nadaraja Peruman. Aum Siva , Siva!

Vanakkam Satguru and all the Swamis. After 6months being unable to pray at MTNA finally did an abishekam to Lord Murugan on August 2nd and asked the Priest to pray to Lord Murugan to “calm Mother Earth” in Tamil “Puma Devi Santham adaiya.” The newly arrived Priest from India seemed a bit baffled nevertheless did the Sangalpam. Since Gurukkal Kumar is not able to do an abishekam at his Temple in Austin due to non-availability of a Female Amman Deity, the sangalpam on August 2nd would suffice to begin with. Now in the month of September an abishekam will be done to Goddess Meenakshi Amman and the heartfelt prayers to calm Mother Earth will be answered. The focus now is to curtail climate change by changing our behaviour in addition to offering prayers. Throughout my life all prayers have been answered and prayers will continue in my next life seeing the danger the world is facing. This may sound ridiculous but for me the only way forward to influence the minds and souls of the Seven and a half Billion children of Mother Earth. Due respect, consideration and homage is long overdue to Mother Earth.
